Designer and Wood Carver...

Jerry Mifflin

Jerry Mifflin, a lifelong artist in oil and watercolor paintings and pencil portraits, began woodcarving about 30 years ago.  Since leaving the demanding schedule of the telecommunications industry in 2001, his work has expanded almost exclusively to designing and carving custom deep-relief mantels and other heirloom pieces.

He has also caught “found wood” fever, shaping walking sticks from cedar roots and small downed trees he has collected. The unique character of each walking stick comes from the shape Jerry sees in the wood.

One Man Operation

Jerry designs and carves all of his pieces. He has a meticulous and dependable builder who constructs each project, getting it ready for Jerry's carving and finishing.
